I was out for a walk and happened to notice this screech owl perched in a tree.
Very small and perfectly camouflaged, it was....
the pointed ear tufts that gave away it's resting place.
Once or twice a day they will regurgitate the bones and fur of their prey, so take a look under....
their resting or nesting place. You can get a glimpse of it's diet.
An interesting note, the oldest screech owl on record....
was 14 1/2 years old.
