A few pics from a recent road trip to the Yukon Territory.
This beautiful lake is also called Spirit Lake by the....
local Native people.
The green colour comes from calcium carbonite.
During the last ice age, a large deposit of limestone was left nearby, it
slowly erodes and is washed.....
into the lake. The sunlight reflects of this resulting in the colour you
see here.
