This bird prefers conifer forests, in the mountains, where they are abundant.
Mostly grey with black wings and a dagger for a beak, they are easily identified, and while in flight they.....
show white feathers on their wings and tail.
The long beak is used to break open pine cones and they then store thousands of these seeds to eat during the Winter.
