Song Sparrow
Sparrows are always a challenge, this Song Sparrow has a long tail, russet stripes on crown and through the eye, as well streaks on the breast.
They prefer open spaces, marsh edges, where I spotted this one, fields, parks etc....
An interesting fact, there are great regional differences with these birds in appearance. However due to a high immigration and emigration their genetic differences are low....so it's the local conditions that maintain the physical differences.
