This Maguey bush unfolds like a large bouquet of green swords, which is actually called espad铆n due to the obvious resemblance of its leaves to a sword. Its thick, fleshy leaves with pointed tips help it retain water in its arid native habitat, which is why it does so well on Margarita Island in the Caribbean heat.
In addition to enchanting me with their elegant shape that always makes me think of the throne from "Ganes of Thrones", these beautiful leaves also feature a distinctive pattern of teeth along the margins that are a very light green, almost white as If someone had painted them by hand.
In both images, both color and black and white, you can appreciate its beauty, its strength and the perfection of nature's powerful creation.
