일주일전에 Status 백서를 포스팅했는데,

Status token (SNT) 의 펀딩 금액은 10,000 SNT = 1 ETH 이며
GMT 시간으로 6월 17일 오후 2시, 즉 한국시간 17일 저녁 11시에 펀딩이 시작한다.
SNT 펀딩의 방법으로는 'Dynamic Ceilings'이라는 조금 특이한 방법을 사용한다.

The funding amount of the status token (SNT) is 10,000 SNT = 1 ETH
Funding will begin at 2 pm on June 17, GMT at 11 pm on the 17th day of Korea time.
The SNT funding method is a somewhat unusual method called 'Dynamic Ceilings'.

기존의 펀딩 방법으로는 'Soft Caps' 과 'Hidden Caps' 크게 두가지 방법이 있었다.
Soft caps는 목표금액을 정해주고 그만큼만 받는 방식이고
Hidden caps는 목표금액을 알려주지않고 그 만큼이 모여지면 종료되는 방식이다.

There are two standard methods of funding as 'Soft Caps' and 'Hidden Caps'.
Soft caps are a method of setting a target amount and receiving only that amount.
Hidden caps do not tell you the target amount, and when it is collected, it ends.

각각의 문제점이 있는데 Soft caps방식은 고래가 토큰의 대부분을 가져가는 문제점이 있으며
Hidden caps 방식은 개발자쪽의 목표하는 양보다 더 걷을수 있는 문제점이 존재한다.

There are problems with each, but Soft caps method has the problem that whales can take most of the token
There is a problem that the Hidden caps method can collect more than the target amount of developers.

이를 해결하는 방법으로 Status 측은 Dynamic Ceilings 방법을 사용한다.
조금 더 쉬운 설명을 위해서 그림과 같이 설명한다.

As a way of solving this, Status uses Dynamic Ceilings method.
For the sake of simplicity, I explain it as shown in the figure.

이 그림이 결정되어진 방법은 아니며 아직 공개되지 않았지만 이와 비슷한 방법으로 진행된다.

The method of this picture has not been decided yet, and it has not been released yet, but it goes on in a similar way.

Ceil.1 (ceiling) 은 Soft caps라 칭하고,
나머지 Ceil.2 ~ 6 은 hidden hard caps라 칭한다.

Ceil.1 (ceiling) is called soft caps,
The remaining Ceil.2 ~ 6 are called hidden hard caps.

첫번째 천장 (Ceil.1)은 이미 정해졌다. 12M CHF (스위스 프랑)이 첫번째 목표금액이다. 이 금액은 12.4 Million Dollars 정도이다. 이 단계에선 기존에 Soft caps의 문제점인 고래가 대부분의 토큰을 발생하는 문제가 발생할 가능성이 있다. 그러므로 이 단계에서 끝나는것이 아니라 블록수에 따라 몇차례 더 천장이 생긴다. 각각의 천장의 높이는 ICO전에는 공개가 되지않으며 ICO 중간에 공개 된다. 따라서 ICO 참여자는 1차 천장이 끝나더라도 몇번의 더 기회가 있게되며 고래는 몇번의 트랜젝션으로인한 수수료와 미리 공개되지않는 천장의 높이로 인해 토큰을 독점할 수 없다는게 Status의 생각이다. 따라서 목표금액은 12.4 M 달러 + @의 금액이 시가총액이 될 것이다.

The first ceiling (Ceil.1) has already been established. 12M CHF (Swiss franc) is the first target amount. This amount is about 12.4 Million Dollars. At this stage, there is a possibility that the whale, which is a problem of the conventional soft caps, takes most of the tokens. Therefore, it does not end at this stage, but there are several more ceilings depending by the number of blocks. The ceiling height of each ceiling is not disclosed before ICO and it is released in the middle of ICO. Therefore, Status team think whale will not be able to monopolize tokens due to commissions due to several transactions and height of ceiling that are unpublished, as ICO Participants think that there will be several more opportunities even after the first ceiling is over. Therefore, the target amount of $ 12.4 million + will be the market capitalization.

또한 첫번째 그림과 달리 스무스한 곡선을 그릴 수도 있다. 결정된 방법은 언급했듯이 아직 공개되지 않았다.
Status ICO 의 참가방법은 기존과 비슷한 방법일 테니 따로 포스팅은 하지 않을 계획이다.

Also, unlike the first picture, it can draw a smooth curve. The decision has not been made public, as mentioned.
The way of participating of this ICO is similar to existing method, so I will not post it separately.

사실 Status팀은 많은 ICO팀들보다 오래 된 팀이다. 작년에 있던 devcon 2 에도 발표를 했을 만큼 명성도 높다.

In fact, the Status team is older than many ICO teams, and its reputation is high to announce to last year's devcon 2.

또한 로드맵도 분명하다.

The roadmap is also clear.

다만 내가 백서를 읽고 느낀 단점은 Status가 너무나 많은것을 시도하려는 것 같아 너무 복잡했다. 그래서 전부 실현하기에는 시간이 굉장히 들어갈것 같아 보인다. 그럼에도 불구하고 카톡과 App store와 이더지갑이 합쳐있는 이 모바일 DAPP에 엄청나게 사람들이 몰릴것은 너무 뻔하다.

The only drawback from what I read the white paper was that the Status are trying too many things so that it is too complicated. So it seems that time is going to be very long to implement all. Nevertheless, it is obvious that this mobile DAPP, which is a combination of kakaotalk(Korean chatting app), App store and Ether wallet, will attract a lot of people.

개인적으로는 Soft caps 와 hidden hard caps을 합쳐서 얼만큼의 금액을 펀딩할 것인지가 주목해야 할 점인것 같다.(물론 ICO 중간에야 알수 있지만) 21M + @ 금액이 개인적으로는 50M ~ 70M정도를 모금하면 좋지않은까 싶은데 그 이유는,

I think it is important to pay attention to how much Status want to fund by combining soft caps and hidden hard caps. (Of course, you can see it in the middle of ICO) 21M + @ Amount is 50M ~ 70M will be good amount, personally, because

SNT가 상장 후에 시가총액이 최근에 성황리에 끝난 Gnosis 와 BAT 그리고 괜찮게 끝난 모바일 고 사이에 위치할것 같기 때문이다. 그래야 토큰 ICO 참가자들도 괜찮은 인센티브를 얻을 수 있지 않을까 싶다.

After SNT's listing, the market cap is likely to lie between Gnosis, BAT, and Mobile Go, which have finished well in recent days. So that Token ICO participants can get a good incentive.
