Red foxes are becoming more and more urbanized because it is much easier to find food in man-made settlements. In the past, village people hated foxes because they killed poultry. Nowadays, keeping hens even in rural areas is a rarity, partly because they are not allowed in recreational areas. Foxes, on the other hand, can appear anywhere, even in city gardens where there are no dogs. Puppies are very curious creatures, they come quite close to humans and also eat food unloaded for cats.
It used to be said a tame fox must be suffering from rabies. Well, this is only partly true because sick animals are weakened and unable to escape.
But this little fox cub is full of life, bouncing cheerfully, squirming in the grass, and has a very good appetite. But since it’s a beast, not a pet, don’t touch it.
Don’t leave leftover food out because it gets used to easy food and don’t learn how to hunt mice. Larger dogs can easily kill foxes, but they only do what they have to do.
