Look at these two. This is my entry for the SketchQuest contest of @quatro . The task is to sketch what you see around that captured your attention. I was scrolling online and saw this photo of some weird Halloween decors. Two basic inflatable decors just sitting there nothing fancy at all. But something about them clicked. So I drew them. I was thinking that they could be buddies.
Meet Pumpkin & Bone. That鈥檚 what I call them. Their eyes tired say a lot. They鈥檝e seen too much, stood too long on some store shelf waiting for the season to end. The pumpkin looks like he鈥檚 done pretending to be spooky hahaha. The skull looks like he is doubting whether he is spooky or not.
I have no plan nothing big or grand setup. Just two shapes that somehow felt alive and interesting. That鈥檚 what I like about sketching from random finds you catch moments that aren鈥檛 trying to be art, but end up becoming one.
Some people would scroll past that photo and move on. I stopped, took it, and turned it into something else they are now buddies like I said. You can see the lines are quick, rough, but that鈥檚 where the charm is.
Feels rare in its own way. Like two spooky decorations that show attitude and personality and a message. That鈥檚 the magic of seeing when ordinary things end up telling a story just by existing.
