This cat!!! He went missing exactly a week ago. By Sunday we realized we had not seen him all of Saturday.

So started our night crawls around the building calling out his name. We asked the guards, the gardener, the cleaners - everybody knew the cat but had not seen him.

This morning, the gardener informs us he was spotted in a manhole of sorts at the lowest level of the building. We managed to coax him out.

He had lost some weight (he can afford it), dirty, hungry and walking a little funny. He ate and mewed and rubbed against our legs one by one (he is a don’t-touch-me cat).

This cat is a climber. This is him, balancing on a beam on the bunk bed, way up high. And he has a broken tail which makes him look a bit like a bunny from the back. So obviously he does not need that long beautiful tail for balance.

We tried to cordon off all the different ways he could have gotten out and one way is up on the roof. We placed all kinds of pots with plants, pretty sure, there’s no way he’d get back up on the roof.

And there he is, back up on the roof. Balanced his way across the fence between the neighbour’s and our back yard, and looking down on us like the last week never happened.

What are we going to do with him?!!

Thank you for reading
Till next time, Carpe Diem!
