I went for a walk to one of our most popular parks in the city, surrounded by tall buildings including the tallest twin towers in the world. It used to be busy, but today it was a little quiet. Except for a couple here and a person there, cleaners doing their thing, the park was unusually quiet.

There used to be a buzz around this place, especially towards the end of the year with the holiday season. Tourists and locals alike would frequent the area. In fact, the original dates for the national school holidays would have made this week the first right up till the new year. But now school holidays have been pushed back. Good thing too since a big part of the playground is closed.

At first, I thought the park was closed because all entry/exit points were cordoned off, and then I realised there was only one exit and entry point in order for visitors to check-in.

How sad it is to see a playground with no children. But to be fair it was a Monday afternoon, but still. Prior to the pandemic, every day was a good day to hang out at the KLCC park.

Only the cleaners were doing their work and there was also some upgrading work going on.

The wave and wading pool. Also cordoned off. I had brought the kids here many years ago and it was so crowded then.

There are fountains in front of the mall and these expand into and around the park.

These pictures were actually taken for a new community on Hive @IntroduceYourCity but I totally missed the deadline. I was supposed to have introduced seating areas, hence...

And more but all empty except for that lone woman sitting and reading something on her phone. And yes it is safe here. There are cameras everywhere.

I strolled for about half-hour taking pictures, and it was great because I could take my mask off since there was nobody around :D
