I've tentatively looked at Rising Star before, but never really got further than the main page due to the page design. Today, after 
First of all, I am grateful that the game uses Keychain for logging in. I heavily dislike hivesigner and loathe using it and wish that all dapps (and Blocktrades *COUGH!!!!*) would just use the nice and simple and easy-to-use Keychain. 🔑👍
As I haven't bought any cards or anything, all I have is my beginning Busker. Due to my level and my lack of fans, all we can do is illegally busk on the streets and hope that eventually more people will enjoy our sound.
During one of my illegal busking adventures, ten drunk people decided that my Busker was awesome and became fans! I'm sure they'll disappear once the booze wears off and their hangovers kick in. 😉 But I don't quite have enough fans even with the drunkards yahooing about, so my Busker busks some more and hopes that some more drunkards stumble over.
Subsiding on a few slices of pizza disposed of in a nearby garbage can and the occasional lick of coffee in discarded coffee cups, my busker has near limitless energy to perform a multitude of songs on his poorly tuned guitar. He needs that energy, every ounce of it, to run away from the police and set up shop on a new street every time he performs.
One day this will all be worth it.
Finally, after twelve illegal busking attempts, my Busker decides to go have a look at the marketplace and nearly collapses in terror. It's practically un-searchable and he quickly runs back to the streets and strums his guitar harder and harder, hoping beyond hope that he will find success without walking into that establishment ever again.
Apparently the extra hard strumming worked! Eight more drunken buffoons teeter-tottered out of a nearby bar and started dancing to his music.
"Come on, men!" he yelled excitedly. "You're all comin' with me to Open Mic Night!"
"Oorah!" the drunks shouted back, then followed the Busker to his next gig.
Standing atop a bonafide stage for the first time in his life, the busker strummed his guitar and sang and sang. The drunks in the crowd cheered and laughed and cheered some more! And attracted more drunks! Soon another fourteen drunks stood around the busker upon his stage and demanded more and more music from the young man.
"They like me!" The busker wiped away a happy tear. "They really like me!"
Excited to have a crowd of drunken people at his feet, staring up at him with misty eyes as they drank in each and every one of his songs, he began another set. After he finished playing, the drunks cheered and cheered and shook the rafters with their thumping boots. One of them threw him a slice of pizza to eat. Mmmm. It was great having fresh pizza for a change and not one scavenged out of the garbage!
Shoving the cheesy pepperoni deliciousness into his mouth, he yelled out to his adoring drunken fans.
"You ready for some more!?"
"Hell yeah!" they screamed back in unison.
And so it went on for hours.
All worn out from singing the same songs into the same mic to the same drunks, the Busker decided to try the Shop instead of the Marketplace. This looked a lot more manageable.
I, puppet-master of The Busker, happen to have some PIZZA in my hive-engine account! And so, with pizza in hand, I impulsively buy some random cards.
The PIZZA has left my account! I have no idea how to open these cards, so I just go to my Card Collection and see if there's anything new in there. I wish I could filter out the grey cards that I do not own. Finally I see an "open cards" button on the side of the screen which takes me back to the Shop page. Now I've become unblinded and see a tiny yellow "open" button at the top of the screen.
I click it!
And I gain myself a sweet ride, a new instrument, and... a chef? How delightful! My busker needs to eat better than discarded pizza and slurps of coffee from leftover coffee cups.
My Busker rushes over to the garage to hop inside his brand new tour bus, but couldn't find it.
Perhaps it was an illusion. 🤷♀
The card was definitely in the collection!
Unsure as to how to actually equip these cards... my Busker sadly went back to Open Mic Night, grateful that his drunk fans still appreciated him. Even if he did now have a van with proper fans inside of it.

I think that I'm enjoying this little card game?
I just wish that it was a lot more intuitive with a nicer site design. The marketplace in particular is terrible unless you know exactly what you're looking for, and being a newbie, I have no clue. I just wanted to look through various categories and see what was what, what was available with different tokens, but I was unable to.
Can I even give my Busker that Tour Van that I found? Or because technically he's not a real card, I can't give him anything? I have no idea what I'm doing or what's happening and the FAQs don't actually answer any of my questions and it makes me not want to buy any more card packs for the time being. 🙁
(((Edited to add: Nevermind, the cards showed up after half an hour or so and are now blessing my Busker! Hooray!!!)))
