Just Babblin'

After silent inner plans to be as active as I once was, to return to my Hive routine after moving house and town and getting settled into a new environment, I began the year with a Migraine For Days and could barely even squint out the window let alone at a computer screen! Typical.

But now my head has stopped hurting, my butt has a brand new super cushy seat to sit upon, and in my hand is a new phone with (apparently) one of the best cameras on the market.

However... it's been raining. A lot.

I've had my new camera-phone for three whole days and haven't been able to go out into the sun and take the spectacular photos it boasts. I mean, I could go out there, in the pouring rain, but, I would rather not.

It's still raining today. So here's a few photos of Charlie taken a week or so ago with my Nikon instead:

Charlie has settled into our new home very well, quickly taking ownership of my partner's recliner. The child has settled in well also and has made friends with the children of one of my old friends -- it's so good to see him actually playing with other kids rather than clinging to me, all anxious and whatnot.

We spent Christmas with them and he spent hours on the trampoline, in the pool, and playing Minecraft with the other kids and it was fantastic. Hopefully he settles into his new school just as easily in a couple of weeks.

Me? I've settled in also, wonderfully. 😁

In a way, it feels like I never left this place. That the past 7-8 years were all a dream. It feels weird sometimes waking up, and I'm back in this town, lying beside the one I loved and lost now have again. It's surreal. I'm happy, content; I feel as though I'm where I should be. Life works in mysterious ways.

I need to get back into my writing routine now that I've settled down again. I have Book Two of Forgotten Prophecy sitting there three quarters finished, and Joey and Jenny are still pounding at my brain with their little fists trying to release their zany weirdness.

In the past two years I've published two books, I'd like to make that three years and three books this year. 😊 Will it be Book Two (Memories Unforgotten) or will it be Joey and Jenny?

Time will tell!

I'm leaning more towards Joey and Jenny though. Something fun instead of depressing.

That's about all from my very uneventful and uninteresting life. 🙂 I'm still in the process of losing weight and am planning on Actifitting with my new phone once the child starts back at school and I'm walking 12km several times a week -- guess I'll start doing these boring life blog things alongside my Actifit posts instead. 😉
