Having only 4 working days this week feels very nice. It's already Thursday! I am just cooking dinner/tomorrow's lunch and don't even feel tired. Perhaps, a smooth and productive day at work helped a little.

Some days after a work day when things don't go as planned I feel left with no motivation to do anything at home afterwards. Luckily today wasn't bad. And since it is Thursday I want to share with you another Throwback Thursday post. This time from Dubai trip from 2 years ago.

This February I took one week break from freezing Canadian weather. Dubai welcomed me with the perfect combination of sun, sand and sea.

This was my second time in United Arab Emirates as last years’ trip did not allow me to see everything I wanted. I recommend this destination to all architecture, history and food enthusiasts.

Here are my captured moments that will warm me when colder days return.

I enjoyed exploring the old part of the city just as much as the modern one. Coffee museum was interesting and the coffee in general was such a treat.

The malls may not seem like some huge attractions at first but in my opinion they are worth the visit. They are all unique in their own way and I was amazed how beautiful can they be.

You can not miss the magnificent view from the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. It was quite costly for a single lift ride to the top but the view is breathtaking.

Once a week the Jumeirah Mosque opens its door to public. They have around one hour long guided tours. A good idea if you are interested in history.

Enchanted by Jumeirah Mosque I drove to Dubais neighboring emirate Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE), to see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It is the largest mosque in UAE. Its architecture is stunning and it truly deserves the word Grand in its name.

The beaches are also lovely and not too crowded during the week.

Global Village is a great place to visit if you are traveling with children.

One of the best experiences was the desert safari tour. I loved the drive through the desert and the package I selected included the dinner, camel ride, dance show and a hena tattoo. It turned out to be a pretty fun afternoon!

I hope you can agree with me that Dubai is the place to see at least once. I would love to hear from you if you have similar experience or any other thoughts.
