After a little break from posting I鈥檓 back. Returning from vacation is not always smooth. I had a lot to catch up with at work and home so I postponed sharing photos.
One day during our vacation we spent in the town of Bled. Bled is known for its beautiful church on a small island in the middle of the Lake Bled.
I will share photos from the lake soon, but first we鈥檒l stop at the castle. Castle in Bled is located on the higher part of the town which provides an amazing view and quite a hike to get to.
There are rooms which have been turned to museum and some parts are souvenir shops and restaurants. We had lunch in the restaurant and enjoyed not just wonderful food but also an amazing view.
The medieval Bled Castle is over 1000 years old but well preserved and maintained.
We underestimated the number of the stairs we鈥檒l have to take to get up to the castle but luckily the path goes through a forest so we walked in the shade all the way up.
