Medfly, short name Mediterranean Fruit Fly is a species of fruit fly capable of causing extensive damage to a wide range of fruit crops. I do not find much in this area, only a few, maybe just now not the right season they breed.
But where I found them I did not see any fruit trees there, they only perch from leaf to leaf.
This species has a wide distribution around the world, therefore its ability to tolerate cooler climates better than most other species of tropical fruit flies, and its wide range of hosts.
It is said this species is one of the world's most destructive fruit pests. Even so, I see them as a beautiful species, they have a beautiful color bandage on the eyes.
