Karate actually originated in India but was developed further in China Very little known of the exact origins of karate before it appeared in Okinawa, but one popular theory states that it came from India over a thousand years ago, a mere fact that is true... brought to China by a Buddhist monk called Bodhidharma ("daruma" in Japanese)....yup it was originated by Bodhidharma.. And almost every people know him in China and Japan but in India only few of us know about him... There been also movie based on bodhidharman in the tollywood film Chennai Vs China.
