Most often I've seen that every city, every place has a certain landmark or a certain symbol that represents it and serves as a memorable reminder of the good things about that location. The same is the case with Singapore, and it has got a very beautiful and stunning symbol to represent it - The Merlion. Popular as the unofficial mascot of Sinapore and treasured as a national icon, I encountered Merlion statues of varying sizes in different part of the city, and these are very popular as souvenirs too. The Merlion is a mythical creature with the body of a fish and the head of a lion, and the ones shown in the below pictures are two of the most famous ones, one found in the Merlion Park and other in Sentosa.
The Merlion was certainly an impressive statue to encounter and marvel at. It is an impressive icon of a great country,
