‘Re:Zero’ Season 4 currently has three episodes rated 9.9/10 on IMDb!
Recently I was in a live space on youtube about the fan-war evolving between the fandom of ReZero and the one from Mushoku No Tensei. Something that has been brewing for the past years. Being at their 4th season and Mushoku on the third and broadcasting at the same time added a lot of fuel to the rivalry. One way where you can see it is exactly on the different scoring platforms like IMDB, Crunchyroll, MyAnimeList and others.
Mushoku fans complain that they are under a discredit campaign and they are getting downvoted by the fandom coming from ReZero. These has happened also on anime influencer shows where they have claimed open war and hitting ReZero back with the downvotes.
Mushoku has also been under the controversy police lens for a while for some aging of the characters as well as controversial romances in the future of the novel. Also the idea that the guy being reincarnated from an actual adult to a baby, then a child suggest that he was grooming the contemporary girls in his life, which is a stretch given that it wasn't as he could hang with adults as a 5 year old either. Also it was all fiction, however, some people's feelings are more important than objective views of what's actually goes on.
Regardless we can see the opposite happening with ReZero as we are getting iconic level status with those grading at IMDB. Whenever is subjective or objective, I am glad that this anime is being recognized and one of the most popular characters made a comeback on the latest episode.
