When I was a fan of the ongoing Linux podcast, the Linux Action Show. Their live stream used to show episodes of the Computer Chronicles. The Computer chronicles was a show that was shown in the US dated from 1984 to 2002. It showed and reviewed a variety of home and business computers, including hardware, software, accessories, and news and interviews with technology pundits.
The topics varied a great range with topics that showcased and demonstrate the application of such technology. The series was witness to the rise of the Internet and also how it impact the consumer market and the business world. It was sort of an old school show, very scientific like. It was very different vibe to what other tech shows wanted to present. Specially when you compare it to the 2000s TechTV shows like The ScreenSavers which I wrote about previously.
The interesting thing is that it wasn't the only show, as there were other interesting computer shows around the world. I chose 3 specific ones:

Computer Sunday (パソコンサンデー, "Computer Sunday") from TV Osaka
The Computer Programme from BBC
Most of these shows were very focused on the computer scene back then, with games and tech and how computers jump from punched cards, all the way to microchips and micro processors. The PC market was something that was pushed simultaneously to the mainstream by these shows, and who knows how many business and general people did they took.
Anyway I would love to see your reactions on watching these shows and see if I can rebuild the 80s PC scene. I already started with a previous article on the NEC PC-98 as well as some alternative computers in the 90s, maybe I'll do on the 80s as well.
