It's a new season, and a new NBA has been out and about. New rosters on teams that have been out and about last season, but this ones might not even show up, while others might upgrade their roster for this. Here is a summary of what I think of the most prominent teams, at least for my outlook.
Philadelphia 76ers
This might be the most prominent team as the King has switched coasts from the west coast in LA to Philadelphia. With already a strong roster with Jaylen Brown from Boston and their own homegrown stars like Embiid and Maxey on the roster, all eyes are on these guys. Vegas and other sources put them as the dark horse and possible contenders from the east.
New York Knicks
The current champs are back and while their roster suffered some changes, they are still the champs and they have kept most of their lineup intact. The biggest change has been the center position with Robinson out to Boston for Jordan Clarkson and Andre Drumond. The Knicks get more experience, but also better defense.
Detroit Pistons
The Pistons were the leaders last season and even after a big hiccup on the playoffs, they hold the regular season record. They might be the next in line to reach the top of the Eastern Conference.
Boston Celtics
After a big adjustment with Paul George, and ex Knicks center, Robinson. They stand as a contender in the East as well as the Pistons and the Cavs. But not as big as the Knicks and Sixers. This might be different from what Vegas and TV forecast as they put them as the next in line after the Knicks.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Finally is the Cleveland Cavaliers that just like Detroit, they kept their roster almost intact. So more a continuation than an increase on their growth. It has to do more with the offensive performance of the team. The core of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell on the front court is still a very efficient and productive duo.
Dark horses
This is the NBA and surprise teams can always come out each season. This season there are a lot of very different stars with new uniforms. The Miami Heat being one of the most outstanding. With the move from Giannis to Miami to share the back court with another big like Adebayo, is a great 1,2 punch of size and athleticism. The other great duo is coming out of Toronto with the back court with Kawhi Leonard and Scottie Barnes as the forward duo. They are on the same status as the Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magics.
