Think with me for now as we take another insight from democracy. Can someone win an electoral position or campaigns without aggressive campaigns? No matter how democratic a society is, extreme campaigns is required for one to win a position.
Please take note, those that must win the election through their campaigns would engage the service of touts. The most abused, misused and misunderstood word in my country today is touts. Most people regard hooligans, uncouth, aggressive, bully, fighter, rowdy and ruffian as touts. This is wrong because a tout is an intelligent, convincing, confident and eloquent speaker, who sells a concept, ideology and product until his audience accepts it.
He is an appealing, influential, amiable and polite sales man that acts as the middle man between the product and its buyer. He proves all the detailed information the buyer may want to know about a person or a product. He is a trust wordy person. The opposite of a tout is a lout. My friend, for you to stay in the game and win your place in this life and control your destiny, you need to be your own tout, you need to speak out to your potential buyers and those that will reward your product. Your product is what you have, the things you can offer, the solution that you are meant to bring forth and the comfort that comes with you or your product.
I guess you have to consider how unfair it will be for you to have, or carry a lot on you and all those that needs your product on this planet are deprived of it.
Silence is not always golden. It is time you speak out on your capabilities. All creatures await your manifestation. Be who you are and accept it that way, do not overrate yourself, that is humility and it is not a pride to introduce yourself to the world and let them know if you are the best or those you are better off or showing off your product or brand so that your buyers can believe you and trust their dealing with you.
Your maker can only be glorified if and only if you let your light to shine forth before men. My country is suffering because those that have the solution we need are either not taking in the system or get involved. Most of them lack the willingness to sell themselves well enough. Some do not volunteer themselves. They only like to engage in complain, lament or criticize those in power at the comfort of their seating room or at places that doesn’t matter at all or where their voice cannot be heard. They forgot that those available will always be patronized. I think it will be wrong to criticize someone that is making effort when you cannot be available, out of pride to campaign and win the election.
Being your own tout in other to bring values and solutions to life will make it more meaningful and glorious, and will enable you to be celebrated and appreciated for your worth. Please do not light a candle and cover it with a bucket. Be outspoken on your capabilities, ideas, the transformations you can bring and all that you can handle, it will go a long way to elevate poverty in our society and the world at large.
My friend, it is time to be your own tout, just be smooth, amiable, friendly, influential, convincing, eloquent and persuasive, ensure you win the hearts of your buyers, audience and customers. You can create your blog, a radio or TV program, let your presence count on social media for the world to see you and know what stuff you are made off. Being silence my friend, is no longer golden, I encourage you to be your own tout and let’s see your real values, stop comparing and complaining about the louts in your society and in positions of authority.
