Everyone has dreams and goals, but many of us won’t live to see them come true.
This may be because of our fear of failing or because of our low self-esteem. Most dreams don’t become reality, but why is that? Because dreams should be dreams?
Totally wrong! You make excuses every time you get close to achieving your goal, so if you ever think of one of these excuses again, listen to my advice.
Do you think you’re not good enough? I understand you, we all have that “voice” in our heads that sometimes tries to bring us down.
But that voice is meant to help you, not harm you, so don’t let it stop you from doing what you dream of. The next time you hear that voice telling you that you’re making a mistake, try to view it as a way of telling you that you can do better than this.
Or do you think you don’t have enough time? Dreams are meant to come true, and if you don’t have enough time for your passion, maybe you’re not really passionate about it.
Every successful person makes time, and if you’re one of those people who spend a lot of time on social media platforms, think about timing it, you should spend all that time on Steemit.
A study showed that a person spends an average of one hour and 40 minutes on social media everyday. So can you say that you don’t have time?
Another excuse you might have is that you’re not ready yet. The thing is, you need courage in order to follow your dream. You will sacrifice many things, like the time spent with your family, your lifestyle, your hobbies, your money, everything, but you only have one life and it won’t be a happy one if you don’t do what you love.
Stop postponing it, instead of waiting for an opportunity, create it yourself! You will learn how to be ready.
And lastly, stop lying to yourself! It’s hard to be honest with yourself, lying makes life easier. We don’t like to be disappointed so we tend to bend the truth, saying things like “I’m doing the best I can” or “I’m always busy”.
You have to admit that you aren’t putting in all the effort you could. Stop finding excuses and start changing your life and, why not, the world.
