Tengo la mente muy abierta y me adapto a cualquier género cuando estoy en compañía, pero como aquí analizamos qué prefiero ver cuando estoy a solas y tengo un gran mono de cine entonces debo entender que sí que tengo un TOP5 en géneros cinematográficos y sin duda alguna me fascina el cine apocalíptico en todas sus versiones aunque soy muy fan de los supuestos donde el mundo se va a la mierda y cuando quieres darte cuenta eres de los pocos seres humanos con vida y te rodean inifindad de problemas en forma de enfermedades o pandemias, las de Zombies pueden ser mis favoritas, he debido ver todas las que tienen una calidad medianamente decente y dentro de las que me parecen mejores aconsejo ver Dawn of the Dead, es un tiro fijo a un tipo de Zombie conocido y donde un grupo de supervivientes se hace fuerte en un gigantesco centro comercial donde tienen comida y entretenimiento para aguantar una solución del gobierno.
I have a very open mind and I adapt to any genre when I'm in company, but as here we analyze what I prefer to see when I'm alone and I have a great monkey of cinema then I must understand that I do have a TOP5 in film genres and no doubt I love apocalyptic cinema in all its versions although I'm a big fan of the assumptions where the world goes to shit and when you want to realize you are one of the few humans alive and you are surrounded by countless problems in the form of diseases or pandemics, Zombies may be my favorites, I must have seen all the ones that have a halfway decent quality and among the ones that I think are the best I recommend watching Dawn of the Dead, it's a fixed shot to a known type of Zombie and where a group of survivors makes a stronghold in a gigantic mall where they have food and entertainment to endure a government solution.
Hay unas pocas películas de este tipo de muy buena calidad y donde los más bajos instintos del ser humano se dejan al descubierto, todas pasan por los mismos clichés donde el mundo cambia de la noche a la mañana y mientras los protagonistas entienden lo que ocurre van perdiendo amistades y familiares en el camino hasta que un reducido número debe sobrevivir, en ocasiones la raza humana consigue limpiar el avance del virus pero no es más que una excusa para darle un toque original a la película que pronto volverá por algún error de debilidad humana a su típico caos.
There are a few films of this type of very good quality and where the basest instincts of human beings are exposed, all go through the same clichés where the world changes overnight and while the protagonists understand what happens they lose friends and family along the way until a small number must survive, sometimes the human race manages to clean the advance of the virus but it is just an excuse to give an original touch to the film that will soon return by some error of human weakness to its typical chaos.
28 días después y otra con un nombre parecido 28 semanas después son otras dos grandes películas que aconsejo visualizar si quieres entrar de lleno en este magnifico sub género dentro de los mundos apocalípticos por un virus Zombie. De Soy Leyenda me quedo con la calidad de los efectos especiales y la participación de Will Smith pero poco más. En este especial diré que han salido títulos de comedia Zombie romántico como Memorias de un zombie adolescente, divertida y con una historia de amor entre humana y un joven zombie con sentimientos o las grandes películas de humor Zombie entre las que destaco Shaun of the Dead de origen británico y muy cuidada tanto en el mensaje como en su humor de calidad. Para terminar con este genial sub género os dejo una saga que nace en un video juego, no dejen de verla, es fascinante en sus primeras entregas a la vez que muy sexi por sus protagonistas al más puro estilo japonés pero con personajes occidentales, Resident Evil no dejen de verla, por último también hay fantásticas adaptaciones a la Televisión en forma de series de las grandes cadenas, The Walking Dead fue una obra maestra que nace en los comics de Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore y Charlie Adlard donde un policia de una localidad norteamericana despierta en un hospital tras un apocalipsis Zombie, no se cuantas temporadas van pero aconsejo ver las primeras y ya decides si la terminas o te quedas con lo mejor del seriado. Fear The Walking Dead es otra ambientación del mismo autor pero en otras zonas de Norteamérica y México.
28 Days Later and another one with a similar name 28 Weeks Later are two other great movies that I recommend to watch if you want to enter fully into this magnificent sub genre within the apocalyptic worlds caused by a Zombie virus. From I Am Legend I'm left with the quality of the special effects and the participation of Will Smith but little else. In this special I will say that there have been romantic Zombie comedy titles like Warm Bodies, funny and with a love story between a human and a young zombie with feelings or the great Zombie humor films among which I highlight Shaun of the Dead of British origin and very careful both in the message and in its quality humor. Pero el denominador común de este tipo de películas es el papel de cada personaje, en todas y cada una de ellas aparecen las mismas personalidades, a saber...
- El líder,
- El que pierde la cabeza victima de la presión,
- El que inventa cosas,
- El tirano,
- El que da su vida por los demás,
- El superviviente solitario,
- El cobarde que aguanta hasta el final,
- El semi protagonista que cae primero,
- El animal de compañía por el que sufres todo el tiempo,
- El niño zombie que te aterroriza.
¿Con quien os sentís más identificados? Yo soy de los que pienso que en cuanto me cruzo con un zombie caigo a la primera devorado por ellos, por lo que probablemente sería el cabeza de cartel que muere en el primer o segundo capítulo. Y otra característica común de este tipo de películas es que por norma general se conoce el inicio del problema y cómo se desarrolla entre la humanidad pero jamás se conoce la solución o la cura, en pocas o casi ninguna se llega a descubrir solución o a lo sumo recuerdo que hay una forma de combatirlo en una película como Guerra Mundial Z y una variante de inmunidad en Soy Leyenda pero que jamás se lleva a cabo en la película porque termina con un flash en un futuro donde no se ha errradicado la enfermedad o sus mutaciones la empeoran.
But the common denominator of this type of films is the role of each character, in each and every one of them the same personalities appear, namely....
- The leader,
- The one who loses his head under pressure,
- The one who invents things,
- The tyrant,
- The one who gives his life for others,
- The lonely survivor,
- The coward who endures to the end,
- The semi-protagonist who falls first,
- The pet you suffer for all the time,
- The zombie kid who terrifies you.
With whom do you feel more identified? I am one of those who think that as soon as I come across a zombie I fall at the first time devoured by them, so I would probably be the headliner who dies in the first or second chapter. And another common characteristic of this type of movies is that as a general rule we know the beginning of the problem and how it develops among humanity but we never know the solution or the cure, in few or almost none of them a solution is discovered or at most I remember that there is a way to fight it in a movie like World War Z and a variant of immunity in I am Legend but that is never carried out in the movie because it ends with a flash in the future where the disease has not been eradicated or its mutations make it worse.
De forma secundaria pero no menos importante me apunto a cualquier estreno de la película definitiva sobre el fin del mundo, como escapar, salvar o encontrar la forma de detener un meteoro que destruirá el planeta, se basan en cualquier tema que un guionista encuentre en su mente creativa, además suelen apuntarse a las modas, ¿Recuerdan cuando se decía que Los Mayas habían visto según su perfecto calendario el fn del mundo para 2012? Pues de ahí llegó el largometraje 2012, si las predicciones de los científicos creen que el meteoro que nos llevó a la edad del hielo e hizo desaparecer a los dinosauros puede estrellarse contra la Tierra en cualquier momento, los guionistas inventan un Armageddon añadiendo además el nombre bíblico del desastre de los desastres. Pero Hollywood ha pasado por todo tipo de desastres naturales, desde Pompeya pasando por Dante´s Peak hasta Volcano nos mostraron como la fuerza de la naturaleza puede destruir ya sea en la actualidad o la antigua Roma; Y que me dicen de las eras glaciales, ¿no recuerdan The Day After Tomorrow?. Hasta nos han hecho inventar una nave que llegue al centro de la Tierra para estabilizarla en The Core. Tornados, terremotos, maremotos, nada es poco para enganchar al telespectador.

La idea de no estar solos en el Universo ha llevado al cine a inventar cien formas distintas de invasiones extraterrestres, desde la grandiosa War of the Worlds de Orson Wells en la que la más que probable derrota humana frente a cualquier invasión extraterrestre por su tecnología demostrada solo por el hecho de llegar hasta la Tierra se resuelve en la solución más lógica, nuestros virus, esos que matan a quien no se inmuniza y que a la humanidad le ha llevado siglos de historia. Muchas, demasiadas películas que con el paso del tiempo han ido tornándose en finales algo irreales y demasiado espectaculares, pero que a vista del espectador han sido éxitos de pantalla como Independance Day .

Para finalizar otra de mis favoritas, la de los monstruos gigantes que el cine ha sido capaz de inventar dejándonos siempre muy pequeñitos a su lado, impresionantes súper producciones cada vez con mejor plantel de interpretes y con mejor efectos especiales, cuanto más grande es el animal o el robot que nos muestran más taquillera se vuelve la película, me he rendido siempre a los clásicos pero las nuevas versiones que variaban la historia totalmente las han hecho prácticamente perfectas, por destacar nombraré a King Kong en todas sus variadas versiones, Godzilla y sus secuelas, qué me dicen de Jaws o todas sus nuevas versiones incluyendo la del gigante The Meg, recuerden la Saga de Jurasic Park y sus grandes dinosaurios o las películas de gigantes robots que salvan el mundo de los mostruos Kaiju en Pacific Rim y su segunda parte, un placer para la adrenalina y sobre todo para el entretenimiento.
Finally another of my favorites, the giant monsters that the cinema has been able to invent leaving us always very small at his side, impressive super productions each time with better cast of interpreters and better special effects, the bigger the animal or robot that show us more box office becomes the film, I have always surrendered to the classics but the new versions that varied the story completely have made them almost perfect, to highlight I will name King Kong in all its varied versions, Godzilla and its sequels, what about Jaws or all its new versions including the giant The Meg, remember the Saga of Jurasic Park and its big dinosaurs or the movies of giant robots that save the world from the Kaiju monsters in Pacific Rim and its second part, a pleasure for the adrenaline and above all for the entertainment.
