Certainly a very different world from the one in which I grew up. Getting a decent pension with medical aid was the goal. It is a more exciting job opportunity market out there today.
Imagine.......with the world as her oyster, my matriculating granddaughter is considering a teaching career....in her granny's footsteps. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry......... perhaps I'll do a bit of both as I spur her up and on! (I must add that I found teaching a very rewarding career.)
