A post view counter is something we would like to add back and we've actually had some discussions about this. We have a pretty good idea of how we might like to do this using hivemind. However, it probably isn't the single most important thing for the front-end team to be working on. This by no means means 'no' - it just means it's on the backlog to be worked on in the future.
