Thanks for the question. @toni.point answered it pretty well already but I can elaborate a little more. It is a set 2% inflation per year (can be changed by governance if necessary but unlikely). That

My reply got rather lengthy so I just wrote a whole blog post here instead: tl;dr: while I agree with some of this, much of it is based on incorrect assumptions (and Koinos is not DPOS). I appreciate

Mana isn't a token but rather a property of Koin. It recharges automatically like a battery. That means you can do as many transactions as you want for free and then just need to wait for it to recharge.

Excellent! This has come together really well!

You'd definitely want to confirm that the snapshot already happened before even considering this (since it says Oct 31st or later). Most likely liquidity providers on uniswap will pull out prior to Oct

Cool! Thanks for the mention.

Yep I suppose I prefer the term "Having an edge" over "Unfair advantage" because "Unfair advantage" seems to imply that it isn't something others can acquire. Glad to hear

Oh hi! I remember you! I hope you're doing well. Glad to see you're still around here. Thanks @m31!

That's pretty unfortunate. It sounds like Heroku might not be doing so well. While it's expensive on paid tiers, it has been one of the easiest ways for average people to kickstart their projects and launch

While I disagree with the title of "Unfair Advantage", the content of the post otherwise has a good message about learning to code. Upvoted. As far as I know, there are vote trail services you

Agree that the whole thing was a result of multiple factors. I also agree that Hive stake appears to be much more split up at this point. However, the protocol itself still isn't immune to these issues

There's a huge difference here though: steemit was literally a pre-mine situation. Koinos mining was open to everyone at the same time. I'm sure the team mined some and probably even bought some on uniswap,

Thanks for confirming this works - 52k votes and counting lol

Yep those eth fees were crazy last year, but, that alone makes a good case for a free-to-use general purpose smart contracts chain. I also doubt Hive would suffer another exchange attack, but, if it did,

Thanks - I don't have any plans to further develop this, but, I'm happy to accept a pull request if anyone wants to change that functionality (or add an option for it). My next spare time blockchain project

I think @motoengineer will be doing one maybe (the team might be also though, not sure)

Here's why #koinos will have greater decentralization from launch than most or all other chains (aside from maybe BTC) with launch: the initial distribution and proof of burn. There wasn't a pre-mine,

Absolutely! exciting times indeed

Welp... good news is that you'll be able to test that process with the v4 testnet tomorrow

No because Hive isn't a smart contracts platform, it's an application specific chain. Other applications can certainly use Hive but they require layer-2 solutions which are ultimately centralized and the
