I'm a bit confused why this is an open letter to me, in response to a comment I made..as well as some sort of "warning" to not move to Hive.

  1. I am not Hive, and my comments don't really reflect on the blockchain (which you are currently using).
  2. I am not the only one involved in any of the discussions, and in fact.. I am someone who had offered help and originally was defending travelfeed after the poorly written post was shared.

But sure, I'll bite.

First ...

If, like many of your peers, you do not know much about TravelFeed yet, I recommend you to watch my talk at the previous Steemfest to get an idea of what our platform is about and what our business plan is.

I had already seen the presentation, watched it live. As you see, I have been a long time supporter of Travelfeed. Including sponsoring contests of yours, donating funds to your team members, and curating the posts from Travelfeed, as well as it's users since the inception of the project. Myself and my partners at C-squared have heavily praised the project as well as curated it. I have used my vote trails to support it as well as many times sent it to large stakeholders to support - as I was a fan of the project.

So perhaps you are the one not very aware of my involvement. In fact, I met for91days when they first joined - and cheetah was leaving comments on their posts they were sharing from their blog. I actually resolved that issue for them, as I thought a travel blog on (then Steem) was great.. I really love content that adds value, and travel blogs are some of the most popular blogs on the internet.

I also personally worked with for91days and trained him as a curator for Curie.. so, please.. let's not try to imply I am not aware of your project or your team. I am very aware.

As you are aware, we announced our TravelFeed 3.0 upgrade 3 days ago, where we explained why we currently see neither Steem not Hive as fit to build our business and decided to make our platform largely independent of both chains, but support optional cross-posting to both or either blockchain while at the same continuing our curation of high-quality travel content, which we have been known for since February 2018.

That's great, and understandable. Always good to ensure a business is self sustainable. I personally think it is great when apps or platforms have cross chain abilities as well. You see, no one has any issue with this aspect, which you have been told many times.

We were hoping for a professional and constructive conversation on what could be done to address our concerns about Hive to possibly establish the fundaments for us building closer to Hive at a future point, but instead experienced an irrational discussion with severe verbal attacks and accusations thrown at us as a business as well as at me personally by a large group of Hive stakeholders, including yourself.

This is where you go a bit off though, as you didn't have a discussion at all. You made a post, where you stated that you saw no incentive in building on either chain and in fact believed that they were unstable.

With all that’s going on, we currently neither see Hive nor Steem as a reliable platform to build a business, nor there are any incentives for apps to build on either chain. It would be difficult for us to adapt to any future sudden split or any potential threat from both the blockchains.

I actually had no issue with this, and my first reaction was - "We need to figure out why they feel this way. What features do they feel are not available and what issues did they have with integrating to Hive that brought this on." Others can confirm this.

As you see, I actually care about dApps and think it will be important for Hive to have a good onboarding for dApps type of information readily available plus technical support etc. I also think Travel Feed was a great addition and wanted to help resolve any issues.

I came into that conversation to defend you against the few that were annoyed by the choice of wording and lack of knowledge of the infrastructure that was showcased in your post. As I assumed it was an easy thing to resolve. I was on your side.

I then saw you repeatedly blame others for your short comings and lack of help offered.. which is where some of those screenshots came into play - me asking where this help was denied.. as you had not been active in the chat since being added. I honestly had assumed you all had gotten everything you needed for migrating and were working on it. It was all news to me that you hadn't.

So when I asked you where you asked for help, you said you did so when you were added, and shared the screen shot - of you asking if there would be funding for dApps. Where you were told there would be a dev fund and you could make a proposal (just like everyone else). This was in a time where there was a ton of work being done by everyone involved, trying to code, migrate their own projects, handle communication to the press, exchange listings, community communication and a million other things. This apparently was the "request for help" you claim you made and was ignored.. even though you imply in your comments and post that the issue was the need for help in migrating, and coding the changes needed to move TF.

This is where I began to understand the frustration of the others involved, as you were implying no one helped you.. when what you meant was no one came knocking on your door to pay you to come to Hive. As you were told funding was available and you were also offered technical assistance.

While you may not understand my technical points, you are also constantly accusing us of disliking Hive because we did not get a delegation

This is false. The frustration was that you were bashing both chains, saying there was no incentive to be on them.. while also wanting to use both rewards pools, get delegation and request funding. Therefore highlighting the clear incentives to TF - "funding" through the rewards pool.

As far as the rest of your open letter - there isn't much to say. I shared the excerpts when you decided to run all over social media and pretend something else happened that didn't. I like facts.. I stick with facts. I only shared some of the convo as I didn't want to share other individuals conversations - just yours and mine. As quite frankly, that was enough. I went into the conversation on your side and a fan of Travel Feed.. and by the end was insulted at your inability to take responsibility for anything, blame those who were helping you and essentially just stating you were offended that no one gave you funding - and therefore saw no value in building on the chain.. but you would continue to use the rewards pool to bribe people to use your front end. Pretty sure that is called an incentive.

I mean, I am not very technical - but it seems a bit weird to shit all over the people you are asking for funding from. Seems like you could have went about it a better way.

As far as me, I am one person. One person that was a big fan and supporter of your project until I had the pleasure of speaking to you personally. I believe I even ended the conversation in saying "Travel Feed is a great app" and you continued to be an asshole - as I outlined in the comment you linked here.

The funny thing is, this is a social chain.. when you treat a bunch of stake holders like shit - it probably wont be accepted very well. That's how this works.

I have nothing against Travel Feed and was actually extremely disappointed in how you and your team handled yourself before, during, and after the conversation in the "Hive Dev Slack." The thing is it is hard to spin lies, as you attempted to do, when there is proof of the conversation - which is why I shared it. Your words say all there is to say.

Good luck.
