There is no back door deal here. I did not approach any stakeholders with this proposal. I made it, and they know my work and can vote however they want. Implying anything else is unfair and the bs that is wrong with this place.

I find it interesting that no one questioned the salaries of the centralized company doing these things prior (And not as well) but somehow expect community members to do it for free. This won’t work going forward, so we will need to consider that and find a solution.

This proposal is also for past and future work, as it says.

I don’t really care much about the funding, as if I was here for money, I would be doing things a bit differently. But the accusations being made are a bit rough, and perhaps people should investigate into what was actually done to get here before making them.. or perhaps even just listen to those trying to state what was.

Slack really isn’t the issue here, it’s the complete disconnect into what goes into building a platform over and above of course the posts and tweets being done.

I won’t defend the amount or question anyone if they don’t want to support it, but I will defend my contributions and what I accomplished for this community.. as quite frankly, I think that’s my right.

So you can decide for yourself of course.. but I’m confused of the issue being brought up. Is it:

A) My claims are bs and this is some backdoor deal I made.
B). The amount is not Inline with the work done.

These seem like two very different thoughts.
