There is one thing unique to we humans sometimes when we interact with people and there seems to be some differences amongst us and how we tolerate others will determine if we are working well with people or not.
I am a banker and I had same experienced, I will be sharing some useful tips to work with people without issues. This guide will be needed by most people who have a job or personal business.
Be simple enough
Trust me been simple is good but some might just take your simplicity for granted. Some might just deliberately want to hurt your feelings inorder to see your reaction but do not fall for it. Been simple at your place of work simply implies you are easy going, people interact with you as you interact with others.
Have a limit
I once had a colleague at my former place of work where taught and due to the fact that she was this gossiping type, I had to put a limit to our friendship.
Putting a limit doesn’t really implies not talking or relating with her but when its time for her gossip, I pay deaf ears or immediately cut off the conversation.
I realized that she was only making me to hate people for who they are even without having issues with them when I listen to her gossip.
Do not leak out your secret
Just as we all have private parts that is not shown to the public, try to keep some certain information to your self alone.
This also happened when I was teaching as well. About a colleague of mine who told her best friend about her secrets. Actually she had been pregnant twice out of wedlock and aborted the baby twice but she trusted her friend to the point of opening this secret up to her.
But the day they had an argument, she used a statement “ abortion lady” to mock her in an open argument. This left her in tears.
Be careful when choosing a relationship partner
Some people find their relationship partner at same place of work whilst others in church or online. Which ever works for you but if you are choosing a relationship partner based at work, be sure it doesn’t cause distraction to your service or else you might end up having a sack letter.
Socialize with your colleagues
This relates with the point of been simple because every place where you go has set of people controlling it. You have to socialize with your colleagues so as to be assisted when you need their help.
Working with people has never been easy but paying attention the stated points above will help you work easily with people. If there are differences, you can settle that amicably.
