I wanted to share with you my current collage whose theme entails the concept of timelessness. My style of collage is a Freestyle. Although I usually do, I wasn't required to utilize any contest photo in my design. However, if you'd like to join in visit the Community page here.
Imagine traveling through time observing events as they happen. Would you age? That is, speed up or slow down. I've always wondered how it would work. I loved H.G. Wells supposition, but the time machine didn't answer that question.
However, in a sense it did. For pure timelessness is to be free from the constraints of the passage of time as we know and calculate it to measure our existence. Humans are conscious and aware of their surroundings that they exist in a certain time and space. We move forward through time knowing that with each rotation we are changed mentally and physically. We understand a certain reality that these events are happening.
But what if we were able to move through time and space as though detaching ourselves from them and viewing them from the outside. That would be what I consider pure timelessness as I watch myself anchored to reality.
The wheels of life keep turning, but I stand still, alone as events pass me by.
In preparing my theme, I wanted to show a female resting while observing the world turning about her. I chose a circular landscape as though the world is spinning. Each cone represents a time period. Events are happening, but she stays the same as it revolves. I decided to include a verdant background that also includes a fiery scene as world events take place. The statute is meant to represent the concrete, physical aspects of the world. I include my pure fractals to add an eerie presence in the female's thoughts as she watches the world turn.
Below are the images I included to complete my theme:

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I began with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, duplicating, colorizing, and repositioning items as needed incorporating the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
Below is my completed collage:
