Hello @zoraida01. The amount of work it takes to complete the hallaca making process is extensive. But as you say with family help, it's completed with love, joy and a sense of togetherness. Also, I've read of families putting their own spin on the ingredients that go into the filling. I can see why this dish is exchanged so that others can taste the unique flavors of another family's recipe.
