Yes @kemmyb. The pinwheel symbolized the ebb and flow of life. In the end, it kept spinning for the brother and grandchildren moving forward as Naomi's breath couldn't propel it forward any longer. It still spun. The acceptance of that is what life is about. Naomi's dedication to her grandchildren, together with her brother's dedication to his grandchild was the combination that healed them both from estrangement. The circumstances in his life stirred him to reach out to Naomi. One never knows that's happening in another's life if not in close touch.
No matter the differences, family will often come together for emergencies and life-altering decisions. I'm glad they found each other. A higher power intervened for that to happen. Once all was in order, Naomi could finally rest in peace knowing the family was protected.
Now, it's time for me to wrap up things with that wacky neighborhood petunia situation and see where the blame lies in who actually murdered the petunias.
