I'm thoroughly pleased you connected with my story and design and that it reminded you of your own pet. Losing someone close is never easy. I decided to approach the story from the pet's point of view since he was the one that was dying. We'll never know what animals are thinking, but their actions can sometimes give us indications. I attempted to have him act and respond in ways that would help the young girl adapt to him being put to sleep.
