How refreshing to see this from a young adult. It was a mystery to me why my parents didn't divulge their finances, assets, and other resources to us. Trying to piece together their estate after they are deceased is time-consuming and frustrating. You'll never locate every thing. Even if asked, sometimes parents were unwilling to give out the information.

I'm happy I learned from the mistakes of elders. I've divulged our estate planning efforts and provided documentation so that all know the status. It was a relief to do so.
