You know, I had the same experience as you during childhood. Never good enough to hang with the popular girls. Didn't look right or have enough money to dress the part. Struggling to find my unique place in the world. Telling me I wasn't good enough. Overlooked all my internal talents for outward appearances. What a waste. If only my parents would have reinforced my gifts and talents instead of comparing me to others. Heartbreak at the core of my being.
