Now, it's not all bad, because to be honest, I spent way too long out of Crypto. I should have been back a while ago grinding away with another alt-coin but in reality, I may have missed the chance to join this exciting community.
You see, I'm not one of those people who bet on every horse in the race because to do so means you'll lose every time. Rather I prefer to stay focused, to enjoy the benefits of a single community and right now that community is STEEMIT.
And I'm so focused on STEEMIT, I don't even both with the BITCOIN FUD playing out in the news on a daily basis because it's just a distraction. A distraction that keeps you from doing the work.
Sure you can make money from buying low and selling high, but we all know it's not a free market and there are elements gaming the system daily with pump and dumps.
But while you continue to be distracted you miss the opportunities right under your nose.
Yes, STEEMIT is an opportunity I wish I'd known a year ago, because through the good and the bad I'd still be here grinding away.
Imagine if the Bitcoin community had this sort of opportunity when it started out, with people collaborating to build something unique and getting paid as you go.
Now there's always going to be plenty of talk about the price of STEEM going to the moon, but in reality, it's a simple economic equation governed by one principle.
The Law of Supply and Demand
When the demand is greater than the supply, the price goes up. It's as simple as that.
So our job as editors on STEEMIT is to produce good quality content that can be found elsewhere on the web. And as this is essentially a blog it means we should follow a few simple SEO rules where possible.
And use Headings like H1,H2,H3 to break up your sections. (in STEEMIT these are called 'Heading Large', 'Heading Medium' and 'Heading Small'
Bloggers have know about these simple rules for a long time, which have helped them to game Google Search and rank on the first page of search results.
Well if you produce good long-form content optimized for search you'll not only establish your Authority in STEEMIT, but will also increase the awareness to the general public.
Remember that when demand exceeds supply, the price goes up. This is exactly what happens to Bitcoin when it gets mainstream media attention.
So let's continue to build this wonderful community and populate STEEMIT with meaningful content for all to discover.
