For me to start is something complicated because I think a lot about how to do it, as well as at the moment, I don't know how to start in this community, but after so much thinking I decided that the best way is this.
Hello everyone, I am @Junior182 a fan of basketball and other sports disciplines. I live in a country where the king of sports is baseball, when I was a child I always 2wanted to practice it but because the stadium where they practiced was very far from my house, I started going to basketball practices that were close to my house. Little by little I started to like it, since they were the minor categories, we all played in disorder, none of us played a fixed position, the strategy was to run after the ball and get it into the ring, that was the plan to win.
Over time we got to know the positions, every time we had games against other teams from different towns, the coach's strategy was that in training we had to run, do exercises, go up and down the stairs until we could not, to be in better physical condition than the opposing team, in this way we would not get tired as the rival team would be and be able to play more calmly and run around the court with better rhythm of play, being in better shape this would give us a lot of confidence in the match.
Being this a town, we had few luxuries, on television I only watched the basic government channels where they only gave soap operas, which most of the children do not like and the best entertainment was to play with the ball, or to stay after the practices to see the older people play and then at home repeat their movements to learn them and in practice show them to my friends to appear as the best.
Then came pay television, with this came sports channels that was where I began to watch the NBA games, it was the best, there were many teams and great players, since I did not know them, I was not a fan of any, I loved how they played Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant in the Lakers, in the semifinals they faced the San Antonio Spurs, a team with which I fell in love and became a fan, at that time the Twin Towers played, (David Robinson and Tim Duncan) that duo for me he was the best, accompanied by Manu Ginovili and Tony Parker.
That year they were champions beating the New Jersey Nets, which were commanded by Jason Kidd, a player with a great personality, who particularly every time he was going to collect a free throw, he would blow a kiss to the rim.
That final for me is kept in my mind and my heart.
I then started playing as Tim Duncan who had become my hero after being MVP in that final, I tried to imitate him in everything. Until I began to see classes in the mornings and afternoons, I had no opportunity to practice on the court again, I hardly went on Saturdays to see my friends compete against other teams. I only had to watch the NBA games on television and talk about the games with my friends.
But I never played again, every time I pass by the court where I trained and I see the other children training I look at them with great nostalgia, the memories were only in my mind since at that time nobody almost nobody had cameras and a lot fewer cell phones.
Today I only have to enjoy the NBA games as a fan of the game since I am not as a fan of Spurs as before since the players I admired since I was a child are retired, without them I would be orphaned in the NBA hahahaha. He also used to go to the court when there are basketball tournaments there, although now with the problem of the pandemic, he has not played a game there for a long time.
This is my story of why I like basketball and the NBA. I hope I didn't bore you hahahaha. But I think this is my best way to start publishing, later I will start talking about the final matches that are very exciting and I am also looking forward to the pre-Olympic games and the Olympics.
A very big greeting to all who happened to read my post. And I'm sure most of us here in this community dreamed as a child to be able to play and be a star in the NBA because I don't think I was the only one to have that dream.
