Parenting sounds like heaven for those who will soon become mothers or fathers, but not long after the little piece of joy arrives, most start looking for advice about parenting. Why? Although we all know that the upbringing of children is demanding, the majority still takes us by surprise.
When the baby arrives, we realize that we are ignorant about them, because we think that being a parent does not affect our lifestyle. It is believed that we will have, time to do what we want, at any time, but we are wrong, and therefore, it takes us completely off guard.
If a couple is expecting a baby or they already have one, the best advice that someone can give is this: Be prepared mentally to meet the demands, and then propose in the heart to give your child the much needed attention and time, one and again.
Today I was in a closing presentation of a children's project in my congregation and I saw in the eyes of their parents a Genuine Love as they see them carry the word of God. But Jesus said: Let the children come to me, and do not stop them; because of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14.
Genuine Love: The next piece of advice I could give would be that children can not grow up and be healthy, happy and well-adjusted adults, unless they are genuinely loved by their parents.
Children need to know that they are special, important, and irreplaceable. Otherwise, you will not be able to overcome this much-needed affirmation. They will try to look for it in other people or in bad influences, and in rebellion. They will not be emotionally equipped to withstand the pressure of the group. Genuine Love helps the father to help his son to be obedient to the authorities, mainly his own.
Children struggle to get approval from their parents. But we as parents will not be able to give this approval at a constant level if we do not first come to understand council number one, that children need our time and attention. This is normal for any child, and if we do not understand how imperative this is, deep in our hearts and minds then the message we will give our children is that they are a burden. Think about this, it will be impossible for a child to feel like a burden if we propose ourselves first in our hearts by giving ourselves for their needs. This is Genuine Love and we know this by the example of Jesus: He gave himself for us, he did it because of his genuine love.
Jesus says: "This is my commandment: Love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12
GOD bless you greatly.
