Is it difficult for you to hear the voice of God? Are you stuck in some confusing situation and need advice, however, after praying and reading the word you are still not sure of what God wants you to do?
I have had that experience. Since I was young, I knew the written word of God and in the course of my life I put it into practice and changed my life. But when it came to decisions for which there was no response in the word, I was not sure what to do. For example, in my case, to make a decision on which new product to buy to distribute in the company that was sustainable over time. As well as other decisions. What I kept was the knowledge that I was doing the right thing. The written word of God and the internal testimony are two different things, they never contradict each other, but both are a vital part of our walk with God.
For example, God expected Israel to obey his written word. But he also told them "Obey my voice." Jeremiah 7:23, because he wanted them to know his will in specific situations. That happened when Israel conquered Jericho: the people obeyed the voice of God. Otherwise, where else would that strange battle plan have come from? It was not in the law of Moses and it would never have occurred to anyone to march seven days around the city, and that it would be a great military strategy that would bring him victory.
But how does God speak to us? He shouts at us from heaven? Romans 8:16 says that the Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit. That means that God's instructions come from within, not from outside. Sometimes, when you hear the voice of God, you may say, "Lord, is it you or is it you?" That is because God usually does not directly put thoughts in your mind, but speaks to your spirit and This converts the voice of God into thoughts.
Start today to pay attention to the testimony, to the knowledge, to the council and to the peaceful voice that you feel inside of you. If it seems to be your voice, do not be surprised, it is your voice: It is your spirit that is being advised by the Spirit of God.
When you were born again, your spirit became a sure counselor, because you were reborn from the Spirit of God. God himself imparted to you his nature and the Holy Spirit came to live in his spirit to teach and guide you in life.
