Our local church's young people had been mentioning this fishpond for the longest time, I told Matti about it and he was excited about fishing. We had planned a lot of times to visit this fishpond but every single time we do the planning, something would come up like the weather would be bad, there will be other things to do etc.
But a week ago, after our gift box distribution, we finally visited the said farm, this time, no planning was done. We were all done with the gift-giving when the youth mentioned we should go there since the location was quite near. I was all up for the impromptu request and Matti was also very excited!
We walked for just a few minutes and I was surprised that this fishpond is a huge one, there were around four sections! They got a little farm area too where they grow bitter gourd, onions, pechay, and a lot more. There were two huts, one on the dry ground and one floating with a functional kitchen! It was definitely a nice place to chill and enjoy yourself with nature. I was proud of the owner who said he did all the work in building the fishpond to the floating house, and even the raft!
Of course, we have to try the raft! It has plastic soft-drink bottles on it. One of our youth knows how to paddle so they went ahead of us while we watch them move around, we even made a timelapse of them paddling. It was our time to paddle after them, my husband knows how to paddle so there was no problem. Matti was also very happy to ride a raft! It was his first time!
Unfortunately, we didn't get to fish because it was already dark but we will definitely come back here sometime soon. We will have to wait for the fishes to grow a bit bigger, they just harvested a few days ago so I guess we will let them grow for about a month before going back and will plan to go there earlier so that we can have a lot of time!
Thanks for reading! Have you tried riding a raft before?
