I am proud to be one of them.
This leads us to the theme for this week"AFRICA".
Africa is my continent, and Nigeria is my country.
Nigeria is a land flowing with milk and honey. A land full of natural resources and blessed with great people of valor.
Nigeria is the giant of Africa. The land with many tribes and ethnic groups living under one governmental body.
I am a Nigerian and I carry the color of Africa "BLACK/EBONY".
Black is beautiful, Black is always shining and it never fades.
Are proud of your color?
The three tunes start with Innocent Ujah Idibia popularly known as Tuface with his song "Africa Queen" which was released in the year 2004
This song is an evergreen.
This song announces Tuface to the world and he receives many awards because of this song.
This song talks about the beauty of the African color "Black".
This song has made me to be proud of myself.
When I was a little girl many people would say
I was too black like charcoal while some of my classmates would call me Iya Dudu(dark woman)
I began to appreciate my color when I discovered ebony is been celebrated.
One day, I was walking on the road when a man called me black beauty (ebony )since then I have loved my color, regardless of what many are saying.
The second tune is from Yemi Eberechi Alade popularly known as Yemi Alade with her song titled:Mama Africa.
It talks about the diary of an African woman. This song was released in the year 2016.
This song is for the ability of Africans.
The third tune is from a Colombian singer Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, popularly known as Shakira. with her song titled: "Waka Waka"_ she sang this song during the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.
This song WakaWaka is a mixture of English and Spanish language talks about how Africa is a strong continent, talks of the culture of Africa, and how Africa will win the World Cup in unity..
