Hello, happy Sunday to the friends of Hive. How was your previous week? I hope it went well. I was working in my brother-in-law's garden this week, tending the vegetables that we will have for salad at the end of the year. It was a nice job. Yesterday I went out to a place far away from home to do some errands and also to walk around a wonderful place. I'll show you a little bit more about it so you can enjoy it with me.
I tell you that I went to the municipality of La Palma located in the north of the province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. This place is very beautiful. It has high mountains, valleys and is always painted green because it rains frequently. The most observed tree is the royal palm, because of its abundance and how useful it is from the root to its leaves and fruits, it is considered the national tree of Cuba.
A good place to explore.
On the side of the road there is always a wonderful landscape. It turns out that my sister's husband and I went to look for some bottles of honey in that area, which is very productive.
Coffee, malanga and honey grow very well there. Your region is famous for that. I think the place is very beautiful and could be a proposal for several nature tourism trails. Because anyone would be delighted to see so much beauty. We crossed rivers, peasant houses with a nice view, also with mountains and small lakes with buildings to enjoy the environment.
The house we went to was far from the road so we had to walk a stretch through the trees and stones. It was a bit tiring, especially because we didn't have the right shoes to climb through the rocks. It took us a while but we arrived at a very nice place. The car was left at the bottom of the road.
A woman tells us that she and her family are preparing the place to receive visitors, offer meals, guided tours, and tours of the place. She is writing a project to promote the local development of her community.
I think it is an excellent place. He will surely succeed, although he must be careful not to affect the environment with the implementation of his project. Achieve harmony and involve the family.
The geographical area is really very attractive and little known. In Pinar del Río you can enjoy very beautiful nature walks where man has not yet broken the balance with his constructions. The roads are not in very good condition because they are old, but it is worthwhile to travel through these places. It is an injection of life to be able to breathe fresh air and see the beautiful places.
The return was already at dusk when the sun was setting and I was impressed with the reflection of the palms in the mirror of a small lake. A unique landscape that I want to share with you. It had a great impact on me.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return with more time and better prepared in terms of clothes and shoes. We were lucky that it wasn't too hot because December gave us good weather.
