After taking a good break from Starcraft I wanted to continue my adventures in this wonderful region as it is Galar and is that from its landscapes to its gyms seem quite different from what I've played before (hack room GBA), I really did not expect to add as many things as I have discovered in this version, one of the things I liked most is the diversity of scenarios that have and you are presented to beat a gym, in this case after beating Cathy I went through a mine to turn it around and get to Piston city, where the fire type leader was waiting for me which came from Hoenn, this inspired me (maybe too much ☹) to train like crazy my Pokémon and so I could be worthy rival xD but maybe and I say only maybe I overestimated it xD and I forgot the difficulty in which the game really is.

image.png

While entering the mine I saw quite a diversity of Pokémon and several ways to catch them, among them there was one that just by stepping on it could be unearthed from the ground and others that by fishing you could get a surprise or two, even so, I did not expect that Naboru himself (the fire type gym leader) was in the mine training and being challenged by other Pokémon trainers, I must also add that the colors of the mine and the shading itself surprised me quite a bit since I expected something of lesser quality.

image.png
image.png

In these mines full of precious stones I was able to find the MT Sand Loop and the item Fine Sand which could give me more diversity when it came to building a team.

image.png

image.png

This trainer looked quite confident when facing trainers so I was quite intrigued to know what kind of Pokémon he had and especially because of his home region Hoenn.

image.png

After leaving the mine and facing several trainers like an elderly lady and the policeman Akira, I was able to get to Piston city to face this gym leader tomorrow. At the hotel I was able to face this trainer who kept coming out every now and then along with her club of annoying fans scattered around Galar.

image.png

One of the things I liked the most about playing this part of the story was the transition in time, when I defeated Cathy the sun was setting and when I got to Piston City it was already night and I had to wait until the next day to be able to face the gym.

image.png

image.png

I faced it and spent the night at the hotel, the next day I arrived at the gym and I could see the test that awaited me, I had to earn a certain amount of points by facing some Pokémon and thus gain access to the stadium where the fire type challenge was, and with my Pokémon super trained, I just had to face the challenge!

image.png

image.png

image.png

Undoubtedly one of the most exciting parts of playing Pokémon, especially a game you've never tried is not knowing what awaits you on the other side and what kind of moves the gym leader will use or what the mechanics of each attack will be like.

image.png

Just me taking the picture and my character is adjusting his glasses xD that's how we look alike.

image.png

Naboru Gym Leader.
His specialty is fire-type Pokémon.

"A trainer originally from Hoenn who came to this region as a guest. He has fallen several times to a single step of becoming Champion, having the title almost in his hands. Probably this negative streak is what led him to adopt a ruthless fighting style for a while that, far from bearing fruit, even led to a relegation to the second division. Thanks to a famous fight against Lionel he rediscovered his potential and came back through the big door."
His motto is: "in this life one must never stop learning and training."

image.png

Battle against Naboru.

As I said before one of the most exciting things is to get into the skin of your character, YOU ARE IN A STADIUM! and Pokémon battles are seen as a sport where you can showcase your mastery as a trainer and the strength of your fellow adventurers.

image.png

image.png

Having the advantage of knowing what it specializes in, I took out my best water-type Pokémon I had at the time, in order to face its powerful Ninetales. Although I had the advantage of having a higher level than him, I had to ensure a strong attack, so I boosted it with sword dance. I was able to resist his first fire attacks, as well as his fatuous fire which I had to heal quickly so as not to continue taking damage over time.

image.png

image.png

image.png

image.png

At this point and having 3 Sword Dance boosts, the only thing left to do was to give the final blow Dinamixando to my Pokémon together with my rival's, at this point we would give each other an accurate hit and only the one who was left standing would win and fortunately for me despite being burned (yes, again) I had the level advantage and my Sword Dance charged.

image.png

image.png

image.png

image.png

And with a great effort and a lot of training I was able to give a final blow to the fire type Pokémon of my rival and thus ensure my classification to the next gym, in the process of winning this battle one of my Pokémon evolved and I was able to get the medal. I must say that, although the difficulty was not what I expected I had a lot of fun discovering the challenges of facing these gyms and the excitement of winning in them.

image.png

image.png

image.png

"You will now be able to catch level 35 Pokémon."

image.png

image.png

I think one of the things I liked the most and why I decided to keep playing Pokémon Espada was this scene, where the first three gym leaders introduced themselves to Paul and I to give us their good wishes since gym leaders from here on would be much more "DESAFIANT" 😊 me not believing them, I took some time to train all my Pokémon (evs).

image.png

One of the challenges (apart from beating all the gym leaders) is to be able to correctly train the evs of a Pokémon to get the most out of it in the battles, so I can further explore its capabilities and train a solid and diverse team to meet the challenges of a Pokémon master, Thank you very much for reading me and get here, do not forget to Vote, Comment and Share that would help me a lot, see you in a next adventure, see you later.
