DL4J is an opensource, distributed, scientific computing for JVM (Java virtual machine). It is in equal performance with multi-GPU platforms such as Caffe. Also, it take advantage of the latest distributed computing frameworks (Apache Sparks and Haddoop). Hence it is an opensource, the libraries are freely available and maintained by developer community and the Skymind team. [1]
DJ4L is written in Java and is compatible with any JVM language. Also, it is compatible with python and C. Computations are written in C while Keras serve as the Python API.
Lastly, DL4J has an opensource, commercial-grade, distributed deep learning library in Eclipse Deeplearning4J. You can join Eclipse Deeplearning4J at Gitter.
