Rural architecture in Spain is a fascinating world to discover. In this part of Spain, that is, in Cantabria, there are many so-called pasiegas houses (manor houses in Castile), also equipped with beautiful and flowery terraces. They were single-family homes, where family and livestock lived together, a tradition, for example, that is already being lost, although it survives in small rural centers like this one.
