Hi there, Hivers! How's your day today? I hope you're doing well. I'm sorry for not posting or being inactive these past few weeks because there's been no internet connection and most of my attention is in school. Yes, I was really really busy at school. I need to study hard and there are a lot of assignments that I have to do because I don't want my grades to drop and taking summer classes. I have to put my studies first. That's why I barely have time to post here and for myself for I am also busy participating in school activities and programs.
One of the activities that I participated in is the school supreme student government, or school SSG officer. I ran as SSG president of our school and it was not that easy since you're not exempted from quizzes, tests, or assignments and you have to catch up on all the lessons that you've missed. It's my responsibility, especially to my members or my partylist since I ran as president, but I wasn't complaining at all.
✨ School SSG room to room campaign ✨
This is not, in fact, my party list. This group was not formed by me. I ran as president to keep their party list from being removed or eliminated when their previous president back out two days before the room to room campaign. So, I hesitated to run because there were only two days left and I'm also a very busy person, but I still said yes, not just for them but also because I wanted to do new things this school year.
In order to win, we have to do a room-to-room campaign. It was a tiring all-day campaign and not easy to win the hearts of our fellow students to vote for us. Even though it was exhausting and I didn't get enough sleep, I'm still glad that our campaign was successful and we made our fellow students happy with our jokes or funny lines in our speeches.
✨ School SSG miting de avance ✨
One week after our room to room campaign, we have an activity that is part of our campaign, which is the miting de avance. This activity is intended to help the students as they decide on whom to vote for next school year's student council officers.
We reintroduce ourselves to all of the students in our school, along with our platforms, activities, and programs designed for each party. After we introduced each party, the president and vice president were called to the stage for some questions. It was supposed to be all the members of each partylist who should be asked, but we don't have enough time.
I was a little bit nervous that time, but happily, I answered all the questions properly. It was my first time experiencing miting de avance. Overall, it was indeed a great experience, and I achieved something this school year.
We are the USWAG partylist! Uniting Students through Welfare and good Governance. Your partner in development.
(I'd also like to thank my cousin @spontaneoussober for helping me with our partylist's name.)
That's all for today, Hivers. Thanks for reading and I can't wait to share with you all one of the programs we did last week. The event is titled "The Culmination of BUWAN NG WIKA," and it also the announcement day for the newly elected SSG officers. Stay tuned! ♥️♥️♥️
