Hello Hivers! How is your day going? I hope everything is going well for you. I wanted to share my brother's 20th birthday with you today. He recently turned 20. It was just simple but a happy birthday celebration.
My mother cooked some food for my brother's birthday, as she typically does for every special event in our home. There's spaghetti, pancit bihon, and lumpia to choose from. Lumpia are popular at many local occasions, including weddings, fiestas, and just regular days. Lumpia is popular among both Filipinos and tourists, and it was formerly my favorite food. For dessert, we have macaroni salad and Maja Blanca or commonly known as coconut pudding and traditionally offered during fiestas, birthdays, and holidays. However, because my mom had work and couldn't prepare them in one, her co-worker, whom we consider part of our family or a very good friend of ours, came over to our house to help mom cook the food. I previously mentioned her in one of my blogs. She assisted my mother in preparing this delectable meal. They always bonded when they had free time, and cooking was their favorite thing to do.
I also assisted and helped them in their preparations, such as washing dishes, arranging plates, and so on.

The foods are so delicious, but Lumpia is still my favorite. It is always on the table when there is a special event in our house. And to save time washing dishes, we exclusively use disposable paper plates, spoons and forks, and plastic cups when we eat. We also bought soft drinks. That made everyone alive.
We simply enjoyed the day, conversing and laughing while relaxing and singing karaoke. My niece was quite mischievous and loud. She always shattered everything, haha.
We're all having a good time, but we're not only the ones that eat and enjoy the day. We also shared food with my relatives here and invited them to join us for dinner.
My home and family weren't as perfect as others, but I'm grateful for what I have now. And I'm thankful for having a brother like him. Although he was not the ideal sibling or brother, I love him and wish him the best and hoping for more bondings with him.
I haven't taken more pictures of us because I was lowbat that time. However, it was really a great day indeed. Again, many thanks to Mom's Pastries for the cake! Thanks for stopping by, Keep safe everyone!
Happy weekend!<3
