Yes been to Fukuoka and some parts of Kyushu before. And we even took the shinkansen from Hakata to Kita Kyushu for a dinner one night, since JR Pass allows unlimited use of the bullet train.Definitely want to go back again, we still havent explored Oita and Kagoshima.
