I took these two photos (and many others!) on my wife and my honeymoon two years ago.
We took two weeks and traveled through the north east US, and through the Maritime provinces of Canada (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia) and ended up in the beautiful island of NewFoundLand.
After 24 hours of driving we took an overnight ferry to Port Aux Basque and started driving to Gros Morne National Park. This is a seriously amazing place, I've never quite seen a landscape like it, though it is similar to what I imagine Norway looking like.
The first picture was taken on the hike up to the peak of Gros Morne Mountain, the tallest peak in NewFoundand. The second picture is at the base of the mountain (on the left).
I took these pictures with my now deceased Canon 5d mk1 and a wide angle sigma zoom lens.
It was a long trip up to "The Rock" but it was definitely worth the drive, though next time I'll make sure to spend more time on the island.
One funny little thing about NewFoundLand is that barely anyone actually knows how to pronounce it. Spelled phonetically it is pronounced NEWfin-land (or something close to that)
