Time the one commodity that once gone, you can never take back.
Perhaps, one of the most common struggle of online professionals and bloggers is time management. It has been my struggle and it is still my struggle.
In my aim to earn a considerable income from online, I joined several sites where I could earn money. The problem was I joined TOO many sites that I struggled in balancing my time between them and my personal life. Not to mention the dissapointing services of the Internet Service Providers here in the Philippines.
As a result, I had been doing so many things with very little output. So, how should an online worker and /or blogger manage his/her time?
Here are the steps I am taking to maximize my output and be more effective in managing my time online. Note that this is just based on my personal experience and I cannot guarantee that they would work on you.
In December, I decided to focus only on the blogging sites. However, since the Internet connection was really unreliable, I focused only on one, while I just login to Steemit from time to time and post some comments. Indeed my earning potential on that site grew and reached already the minimum payout of $10.00 for the first time.
However, I know that the earning potential here in Steemit is still much greater. Thus I must spend more time here.
Create a to-do-list every 9 PM. This is not new to me. I started doing this, but not just regularly and I did this in the morning after I wake up. However, there was a suggestion that creating the to-do-list in the evening before bedtime is much better. Experts says, doing this before bed time, our subconscious mind absorbs the information better during our sleep and helps us prepare for it in the morning. And perhaps with the law of Attraction, attracts the favorable circumstances for us. So they say.
Be Sociable in Social-media. They don't call it social if we can't be sociable in them. One of my problems actually, is managing my social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc..) effectively. My mistakes, and perhaps a common mistake for newbies, is I just share my posts indiscriminately, without interacting on the posts of the other members. I usually end up losing more followers than gaining new ones.
Even on the different blogging platforms, I would just post then barely read the posts of others.
Later, I realized that one trick to gain more readers and followers and ultimately new friends, is to read the posts of others and leave some comments.
This activity is one sure way to let others know that you exist on that site and you ready to give comments to others or in Steemit, ready to upvote your posts.
